María Böttner was born in Germany in 1978. From 1998 to 2001 she attended drama school in Hamburg, followed by her first acting engagement at the Landestheater Parchim followed. In parallel to her theatre work, María Böttner has also apeared in numerous film and television productions. In 2009 she was cast in the internationally succesful science fiction thriller "Cargo", by the directors Ivan Engeler and Ralph Etter. María Böttner now lives and works in Zürich.



Daniel Mezger was born in 1978 and grew up in Linthal. He studied acting at the Berner Hochschule für Musik und Theater, followed by roles at the Junges Theater Gottingen. He later became a freelance actor in Zürich. From 2006 to 2009 he studied at the Schweizerisches Literaturinstitut in Biel. His work "Balkanmusik" made its debut at the Staatstheater Mainz in 2011, and he was invited to the play-wrights festival Berliner Autorentheatertagen organized by the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. In 2012 the city of Zürich awarded Daniel Mezger the scholarship "Werkjahr der Stadt Zürich".

Manfred Liechti was born in Rheinfelden in 1957. After his apprenticeship as an electrician he worked at the Neue Volksbühne theatre in Bern as an electrical technician. He also acted in various productions between 1977 and 1983. In 1984 he started training as a professional theatre and film actor, and developed rapidly to become one of the most sought-after character actors. In 2003 he was nominated for a Swiss Film Award in the category "Best Leading Actor" for his role as Reto Lauenstein. Manfred Liechti now lives and works in Bern.

Daniel Frei was born in Wetzikon in 1974, and between the ages of 13 and 20 appeared in the cult children's TV show "Schlips" in various roles. He studied acting in Zürich from 2003 to 2006. During this time he also had a number of film and theatre engagements, at the Theater Roxy, Schauspielhaus Zürich and many others. Daniel Frei now lives in Zürich and works as an actor in films, theatre and advertising.

Marcel Jetzer was born in Zürich in 1974, and emigrated to California after graduating from high school. From 1998 he studied film in San Francisco, after which he returned to Switzerland and began work as a film editor and cameraman. In 2011 he founded the film and post-production company Marcel Jetzer Films. He now lives and works in Zürich.



Matthias J. Michel was born in Zürich in 1968. He completed an apprenticeship as a physics laboratory technician at the renowned Paul Scherrer Institute, and later studied film in Vancouver. He returned to Switzerland to work as a screenplay author, director and producer. Matthias J. Michel now lives and works in Berlin.
